Anchal Gupta
Anchal brings a diverse legal background to her practice, having started her career as in-house counsel for Rogers Communications before exclusively focusing on family law. Captivated by the unique blend of collaboration and litigation that family law offers, she has experience supporting clients through divorce, separation, child support, spousal support, family property division, and child protection issues.
Having attended the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy, Anchal pursued a dual Canadian and US law program, which gave her expertise in both Canadian and US law and interjurisdictional legal issues.
Driven by a deep commitment to empower those within her community, Anchal fosters meaningful relationships with her clients and opposing counsel, leading to more successful negotiations and favourable outcomes. Her approach is guided by an appreciation for family dynamics, and a client-centred perspective which enables her to customize the process to best meet the unique needs of her clients and their families. Anchal has successfully represented clients in multiple trials, but she is always open to alternative methods of dispute resolution including collaborative approaches, mediation or arbitration.
Anchal's practice encompasses a wide range of family law issues, including but not limited to:
- Divorce and separation
- Guardianship and decision-making
- Child custody and parenting time
- Child and spousal support
- Property division
- Restraining orders
- Child protection matters
- Prenuptial and cohabitation agreements
- Representation in mediation or arbitration
Outside of the office, Anchal finds joy in dancing (she is classically trained), baking festive treats, and travelling the world every opportunity she gets. Anchal is dedicated to the community and has done volunteer work with ProBono Canada and Legal Aid Ontario.
I don’t think anyone looks forward to using a lawyer but, when you do, look no further than Crossroads Law. They offer things like prompt feedback, quick meetings, efficient use of time, friendly staff, and clear instruction. You’d think these things would be a given, but if you’ve used lawyers before, you know it’s not the case.
