Paul Meyers
Paul Meyers is an accomplished legal professional with over 25 years of experience as a lawyer and 23 years as a Provincial Court Judge in British Columbia. Throughout his distinguished career, Paul has conducted hundreds of trials at every court level in BC, including numerous jury trials. Appointed as a Provincial Court Judge in 1999, Paul presided over thousands of criminal, youth, family, and civil trials. Over this period of time, he also mediated hundreds of settlement conferences.
Paul has attended many conferences and seminars where he expanded his knowledge and honed his skills as a trial judge and as a mediator. His expertise also extends to participating in panels and lecturing to judges, lawyers, law students, and high school students throughout his judicial career. He also served as the Editor of the Judges Civil Rules Book for two years.
After his notable career as a judge, Paul transitioned into mediation to help those seeking a knowledgeable and experienced professional to effectively guide them in resolving their differences.

Paul understands that conflict often comes with heightened emotions and conflicting perspectives. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Paul has been an active volunteer in various community initiatives. He has served as a peer counsellor with the Lawyers Assistance Program for 23 years, assisting lawyers with emotional turmoil, addiction issues, financial struggles, and relationship challenges. Paul has volunteered with the Canadian National Institute for the Blind and was a director at the first Downtown Eastside Bank helping local residents. He is also a volunteer with the Special Olympics for Youth on Salt Spring Island. He is always ready and willing to volunteer his time and experience to support those in need.
