Crossroads Law Welcomes Family Lawyer Yasemin Shihab Ahmed To Our Calgary Team

With a strong background in litigation and alternative dispute resolution, Yasemin Shihab Ahmed is a dedicated family lawyer who fiercely advocates for her clients, ensuring their rights and best interests are protected throughout the legal process.

Born and raised in Calgary, Yasemin earned her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Liverpool before returning home to complete her Master of Management at the University of Calgary’s Haskayne School of Business. With experience across multiple areas of law, she found her passion in family law—where she could make the greatest impact by helping clients through some of life’s most difficult transitions.

Yasemin thrives in high-conflict cases, representing clients with confidence and strategic insight. Whether negotiating parenting arrangements or litigating complex financial disputes, she ensures her clients are well-informed and empowered to make the best decisions for their future. She values open communication, taking the time to listen and provide clear, practical guidance every step of the way.

Yasemin is also deeply committed to legal education and community advocacy. She volunteers with the Legal Education Society of Alberta (LESA) and recently co-hosted a webinar with the Honourable Justice M. Kraus. She is passionate about mentorship and regularly takes on leadership roles to support aspiring legal professionals and promote access to justice initiatives.

We are thrilled to welcome Yasemin to the Crossroads Law team and look forward to the expertise and passion she’ll bring to our firm. Welcome to the team, Yasemin!
