Pay-as-you-go legal coaching
A disproportionate percentage of people appearing before a family court judge do so without legal representation, and coaching can help fill the legal void.
Many find themselves unable to access legal aid, but they can’t afford the expense of a lawyer either, says Sixta, founder of Crossroads Law. “In some jurisdictions, 60 per cent or more of all of the cases that are before the family court have at least one person who is self-represented,” he says. “As a result, there are all kinds of negative implications.”
